The unique testing facility has been the subject of some milestone testing. This was particularly noted when they teamed up with with tent manufacturer Sierra Designs, to create sensors and integrate software to test a state-of-the-art tent design that is supported by Easton E9 tubing in the most extreme weather conditions.

The tubing was tested in winds blowing up to 96 mph, and the sports lab technicians recorded the stress on the tubing to, allowing them to confirm its strength and durability.

Another good thing about the engineers at Easton sports lab is that many of them are athletes, and they use thier experiences to produce practical new designs.

A notable development by athletes is the two-piece aluminum Easton hockey stick, which was made by an engineer with a passion for hockey.

This design has now go on to become the number one hockey stick in the National Hockey League.
